Program
PCSC strives to hold a variety of events, with the goal that there is a little something for everyone. The VP of Program team constantly seeks new activities and partner organizations to add diversity to our events to meet our members' interests. They actively seek input and feedback from our members. What you see below is just a sampling of the range of what we do.
​Many of our events are led by a crew member who gets to learn and practice organizational skills, ranging for very easy to quite challenging. All event leaders are mentored and coached by crew officers and the Crew Advisor. PCSC is a great way for youth to develop confidence and life skills.

Join us at St. Mary's Center to cook and serve to low income seniors.

Cook and serve meals to the homeless at College Avenue Presbyterian Church.

Alameda County Community Food Bank
Sort and package fresh produce and non-perishable food to be distributed to low income community members at the Alameda County Community Food bank where PCSC adults are Lead Volunteers.
Summer
Pancake Breakfast
Each year, the VP Fundraisers plan the 4th of July Pancake Breakfast. PCSC members sell tickets, cook, and serve pancakes, sausages and fruit to members of the community before they head out to the parade - all to raise money in support of PCSC programs.
Summer
PCSC Summer Trip
Since 2017, PCSC has taken Summer Volunteer Trips to communities in cities and countries outside the Bay area. Past trips have included India, Oregon and Italy. Planning begins in the winter before the trip. Stay updated in the FB group if you are interested in being a part of this great immersive experience!
Building
Tiny House
Tiny House is a particularly rewarding project because of how easy it is to see the progress made in short periods of time. Come learn the of basics carpentry, electricity (ie. stapling wires, power paths, setting up switches and outlets, etc.), heating, and other basic household functions.
