Become a Leader
Active and motivated members should seek leadership roles: the Advisor and crew officers will mentor you to grow in confidence and competence through on-the-job leadership experience. Formal leadership training is also provided to interested members.
Crew members run to become officers and are elected by the membership each Spring during the Crew Retreat
Officers meet weekly with the Crew Advisor to learn their roles and are mentored to become effective leaders
Crew President(s) host monthly meetings for the leaders to work together to run the crew
But ALL members are encouraged to participate in the some aspect of running the crew, starting small and then taking on more as they feel more comfortable!​
Crew Retreat
The Crew Retreat is an annual weekend getaway for the leaders of the crew (and anyone who wants to come!). We gather for leadership training, team building, elections and a fun time. It's a great atmosphere overall and an amazing bonding experience. If you're not sure if you want to take on a leadership role, you are welcome to join us to watch our elections and see what happens behind the scenes!
National Youth Leadership Training
(NYLT)
National Youth Leadership Training is a week-long BSA program designed to provide youth members with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home troops/crew and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others.
